Organic Cotton
A COMMITMENT MADE WITH EVERLANE
In 2020 we declared all cotton, certified organic by 2023. We committed and rallied to deliver.
From the public declaration in 2020 to all product creation in 2022, Sonia/BREW had two objectives.
The first, to transition all existing cotton styles to Organic.  The second, to ensure new product launches used Organic Cotton.

A key focus was denim.  By 2021 every new denim launch used certified Organic Cotton.

Sonia/BREW was responsible for the Creative Direction, Product Design, Product Naming, and initial Marketing Direction for Organic Cotton products.

90%
Less water is used to
produce Organic Cotton
It takes approximately 2700 litres of water to produce 1 t-shirt using conventional Cotton compared to 243 litres of water to make the same garment using Organic.  It’s still a lot of water, but it is meaningfully less.
